Rocky was born in Georgia, and his parents were neither cousins nor siblings, or at least that is what they claim. Prior to marrying his wife of over 20 years, Julie, with whom he has two daughters, he attended the Community College of St. Louis on a yodeling scholarship. After finishing there, he moved on to the U. of Missouri-St. Louis where he became an expert in shooting pool, just before the school no longer required his presence or tuition money.

Prior to his return to WPLJ, where he has done mornings and afternoons, his resume includes mornings at WABC New York, mornings at WDVD Detroit, mornings at WPRO-FM Providence, mornings at WKSE Buffalo, mornings at WYMJ Dayton, and shifts at both KHTR and KSHE St. Louis.

Rocky has been nominated numerous times for both Large and major Market Personality of the Year by Billboard Magazine. He has received the Key to the City of Buffalo and the Key to Erie County New York for his charity work. His favorite charities are Prevention of Child Abuse and Habitat for Humanity. Rocky’s hobbies include traveling the country with his family in their motor coach, trading in the futures and currencies markets, and reading autobiographies.
